Burley Photos - A Section of the Burley Photos Archive

The contents of this website form part or a much larger archive, that was created by Malcolm Fisher, who is sadly no longer with us.

The Community Trust have decided to host a link to this site in recognition of Malcolm's long and diligent service to the local community.

It remains closed to new content, but we are pleased to extend the current Village Gallery by way of linking to this interesting resource.

The aim of the original collection was to create a series of slideshows and photo galleries covering various aspects of Burley in Wharfedale and surrounding areas of interest.

The first part of the original plan was to create a collection of photographs, gathered from members of the public,
who attended the 2014 Burley Summer Festival and kindly forwarded their photos to Burley Community Trust for publication, as can be browsed from the above menus.

As the site continued to develop other topics were added, and it was always the aim to create a point of reference containing images that might be of interest to visitors, along with recording specific events which, over the passage of time, become part of the history of the village.
