The Format

All photos on this site will be edited to produce an acceptable size, and then optimised to reduce download time in your browser. This makes them "screen" quality rather than "print".

They will be viewable on the vast majority of handheld devices having an Internet connection, such as smartphones and tablets.

Welcome to the Burley Photos website !
Over the coming months it is our intention to create a series of slideshows and photo galleries covering various aspects of Burley in Wharfedale and surrounding areas of interest.
Our first attempt has been to create a collection of photographs gathered from members of the public who attended the 2014 Burley Summer Festival and kindly forwarded them to us for publication, as can be seen from the above menu.
As the site continues to build we shall be adding other topics to this site.

What we'd like to do is create a point of reference that contains images that might be of interest to the general public, along with specific events that have now entered into the history of the village.
